Display the Total Value of a Wishlist
It would be incredibly useful if Throne displayed the total monetary value of an entire wishlist.
Currently, creators and supporters can see the price of each individual gift, but there is no way to know the combined value of all gifts without manually adding every item together on a spreadsheet.
Proposed Feature (Beta / MVP)
Display a simple "Total Wishlist Value" at the top or bottom of every public wishlist.
Example: Total Wishlist Value: €3,248.76
The total would automatically update whenever:
- A gift is added
- A gift is removed
- A gift is purchased
- A gift price changes
Why this would be useful?
For creators:
- Instantly see the overall value of their wishlist.
- Better plan wishlist goals and future additions.
- Understand how much of their wishlist has been fulfilled.
For supporters:
- Quickly understand the overall scale of a creator's wishlist.
- Make it easier to track community progress.
- Increase engagement by giving supporters a clearer sense of collective impact.
Why this should be a priority?
This feature provides meaningful information while requiring only a simple calculation of the visible gift prices. It would improve the user experience for both creators and gifters without changing how gifting works.
As a future enhancement, this total could optionally distinguish between:
- Total wishlist value
- Remaining wishlist value
- Purchased wishlist value
However, simply displaying the total value of the wishlist would already be a valuable improvement and an excellent first release.
