Allow international recipients to choose or prefer shipping method
Please add an option for international creators/recipients to choose or set a preferred shipping method when adding wishlist items from merchants that offer more than one shipping option.
This is especially important when the available options include USPS/local post versus courier services like UPS, FedEx, or DHL.
For international recipients, the shipping carrier can make a major difference. Courier services may add brokerage fees on delivery, while USPS/local post can often avoid those extra brokerage charges.
A customs/import fee warning is helpful, but it does not fully solve the issue if the recipient has no way to choose the shipping method that avoids unnecessary brokerage fees.
Suggested feature options:
Let creators choose the shipping method when adding an item to their wishlist
Let creators set a preference such as “prefer USPS/local post when available”
Show a warning when an item may ship by courier
Let gifters see the creator’s preferred shipping method before checkout
This would make international gifting more transparent and help recipients avoid unexpected brokerage fees when the merchant already offers a better shipping option.
